Keeping our Commitments

We often discuss what we want. I want to get my PhD someday. I want to be able to play every hymn in the book on the piano. I want to be a Senior Olympic Athlete. We want to be that family that goes camping. That smoky smell. Hot dogs on a stick. The warmth of the 'mallow melting the chocolate. So when the chance came up to go out with my RMYL program, we jumped for it.

The evening started out with repelling. Nice calves.

The evening ended with games around the campfire. There was a lot of fun in between.

Sorry to play favorites, but I totally think that Nohnny looks the cutest in this picture colon parenthesis (meaning smiley face emotocon)

Oh man, I haven't been repelling in YEARS. It is a lot of fun. I also love roasting 'mallows around a campfire. I have good memories camping as a family (minus my mom - she never went) and we want to be regular campers as well. It just seems like camping with such little ones spells disaster. Maybe some day??

Oh, your diaper in the laundry story was funny. We keep a plastic grocery sack near our garbage bin for all the diapers (because I'm too lazy to throw them in the big outside bin). Then it gets thrown out every day or so. It's just one step above them laying all over the house - it's pretty white trash but at least they're all contained in one place, you know? :)

I love the family picture! Evelyn will soon be old enough to give that adorable big Covey smile!
