Luv to shuv
I love to shovel snow. I have ever since we lived on Love Lane, sister street to Backhand and Ace. I love working up a sweat in the freezing cold. And I love finding pavement under a good 8 inches. It's like picking a good boogie. And we own the best snow shovel ever invented. It's a slanted piece of shovel mounted at a 45 degree slant from the handle. So all you do is walk and push and the snow piles up to the side leaving a clean trail behind me. Here at our new house, we had a huge dump of snow and while it was still snowing so I got a little white cap on my head. It was extremely satisfying to clear away our new driveway because it was night time and it had never been shoveled before so I could scrape all of the old pieces away. We love you, Utah weather - greatest snow on earth.

Chicken & Waffles
This could be a permanent situation - chicken & waffles for Johnny's birthday dinner. And birthday eve dinner. We went out to Winger's to celebrate and he ordered chicken & waffles. And he decided that was what he wanted when we had people over for his birthday dinner at our new house. Delicious! Syrup and bacon and waffles and fried chicken. Happy Birthday, darlin'. Love you so much. Welcome to your completion of three decades on earth. Thanks to everyone for celebrating with us.

Who stole the cookie from the cookie jar?
This guy has been learning how to crawl. He can rock on all fours and cover a lot of real estate by scooting backwards. He totally grabbed a chocolate cookie right off the floor and devoured it. This is one of the rare instances where messy is super cute.

Daddy Daughter
Evelyn is my only girl right now! She's spunky and fun and gives a thumbs up using her pointer finger because I haven't distinguished her phalanges for her yet. Eve is fun and happy and kind. She likes long walks on the beach...oh, wait. She's just an adorable little almost 4 year old. I love listening to her voice. It's high pitched and squeaky and cute. Love this girl.

First day of Preschool!
I love the way he puts on his backpack. Every time. Criss cross, applesauce. What a cutie. And adding a scheduled time to be somewhere to my life has been awesome. Normally, we have nothing set in concrete. I have basketball and volleyball and tennis and playgroups, but it's no pressure if we don't make it. I only have been late to drop him off once. So I'm loving it so far. Teacher Jill is kind. And Johnny comes home singing songs about safety and running away from the stranger in the car. I can't tell if that is an original or if he's singing what she taught them. Totally awesome.
